why halo alkanes are soluble in organic solvent

Halogenoalkanes tend to dissolve in organic solvents. This is because the new intermolecular attractions between the water molecules and the haloalkanes have much the same strength as the ones being broken in the separate halogenoalkane and solvent.
We hope that Clarifies your query.
