ICSE Class 10 Answered
why does the thickning of chromatin material thicken during the interphase?
Asked by sharayurokade48.10spicertl | 15 May, 2020, 09:59: AM
During interphase, the chromosomes are already doubled, this has two closely associated subunits called chromatids. These chromatids are held together by the centromere. Throughout the process of prophase the chromosomes condense and get shortened and thickened to form visibly distinct threads within the nucleus.
