why does the body sink when a mans body is going to die

When a person is about to die, the air inside the lungs come out, and hence his density becomes greater than water, so the person sinks.

But after some time, the microbes eat up the body releasing lot of gas which has less density than water. This causes the body to float on the surface of water.
