why does a ray parallel to p.axis, meets the p.axis only at focus?

Expert Answer:

Since focus of a lens is a point on principal axis where all the rays either converge or seem to emanate from.

Hence, the parallel rays can only meet at focus that's only the unique point and location for all of them to meet.
