why do we say that the places like Delhi and Mumbai a magnetic needle shows the true morth direction quite accurately as compared to other places in India?

Expert Answer:

Dear student,
The north pole of a magnetic needle will always lie along the direction of the magnetic field and will always point the north direction.'Magnetic North' is a direction, and NOT a magnetic polarity. The magnetic polarity of Magnetic North is actually a south pole and, since 'unlike poles attract', it attracts the north (-seeking) end of the compass needle.

It is not specific about specific places, dear.
Anywhere and everywhere the point would point correctly.
Thanking you
