Expert Answer:

The two little boys in the story display a character which even grownups fail to achieve. The maturity of their thoughts and their determination to work is truly remarkable. Despite hardships they choose to remain sincere and work to pay for the treatment of their sister. They do not look for pity though it would be easy to get. They work very hard doing odd jobs and made sure to collect enough money for their sister's treatment. They don’t regret not being able to spend on themselves. And most of all, they do not give up hope. All these qualities of the boys urged the author to give the narrative the title Two Gentlemen of Verona.
