Expert Answer:

when raisins r immersed in pure water then conc of water is more outside then inside so water travels from higher to lower conc into raisins by endosmosis through semipermeable membranen they swell

when raisins r imersed in concentrated sol then they contract as conc of water is more inside raisin then in the conc sol outside so sm water travels from higher to lower conc from inside to outside by exosmosis so the shrink
