Why do people die fast suffering from HIV AIDS?
Asked by gopan3344 | 12th Dec, 2018, 02:51: PM
HIV virus can survive and grow only by infecting, and destroying, the immune system. This continual attack on the immune system makes it weaker and weaker until it is no longer able to fight off infections. As a result, several opportunistic pathogens attack the body and cause several diseases. People actually do not die of AIDS but due to pneumonia, brain infections, diarrhoeal illnesses as well as certain tumors such as lymphoma and cervical cancer.
