why do para dichlorobenzene has a low boiling point but high melting point?

Expert Answer:

The p-dichloro benzene has 0 dipole moment because the 2 chlorine atoms pull the e- cloud towards each other with the same magnitude, so thats why this is less solubility and very high boiling point.
