why do haloalkanes dissolve in organic solvents?

 When haloalkanes are dissolved in organic (non polar) solvents the new forces of attraction set up between haloalkane and solvent molecules are of the same strength as the forces of attraction being broken,i.e., existing between haloalkane and solvent-solvent molecules. Thus, it can easily get dissolved in organic solvents.
