The river water as it runs through various obstacles, then may be a water fall, is not lost to the obstacles or resistances. Similarly electric currently is just flowing through the conductor, only energy is dissipated in the resistor, which is provided by the battery, but the number of electrons/charge that flows through a series of resistors is the same.
In other words, as we know charge is conserved, so when a few electrons constitute the electric current, when they flow through one resistor, the same are going to flow through next. they can't accumulate or lost.
