Why cannot we see air with our naked eyes?

Air is gaseous by nature. The atoms and molecules of gases are separated by a large distance with each other.
Hence, when a light ray is passing through air, it gets away undisturbed and without any deviation of light through matter, we cannot see the substance. Hence, air is transparent and we cannot see it with naked eyes.
