Why cannot curd be stored in 'Cu' container?

Curd is made from milk which is slightly acidic in nature as it has lactic acid. we know that acids react with metals to give salt and hydrogen gas.
Now when curd is stored in copper vessel, it reacts with copper metal to form toxic compounds which are unfit for human consumption.So curd cannot be stored in copper container.
