why are sperms kept in scrotum sacs

Expert Answer:
Sperm production occurs in testes, which are placed in scrotum sacs outside the body and not in abdominal cavity.
Sperm production and survival need a temperature lower than the body temperature. Hence testes are placed outside the body which allows for air circulation to cool them to just the right temperature.
