Life processes are activities carred on by living organisms so as to sustain life. They fulfill some or the other requirements of the organism, without which life would not be possible. Life would not be possible without intake of nutrients, release of energy from these nutrients, body building and repair, transportation of substances and removal of body wastes. If any of these processes are not carried out, it will lead to the death of the organism. These processes distinguish a living organism from a non-living one.
