The First Law of Reflection i.e.
the angle of reflection = angle of incidence is the extension of Principle of Conservation of Energy. This is because if no Energy is lost and no light is refracted through the reflector then to conserve the energy the light will get reflected by the same angle at which it is incident on the reflecting surface(It brings in symmetry).
The second law i.e. the normal ,reflected ray and the incident ray lie in the same plane, is a consequence of the Conservation of momentum.
