Two countries where struggle to establish democracy is going on is Myanmar and Egypt.

 

Myanmar gained freedom from the colonial rule in 1948. The democratic rule ended in 1962 after a military coup. After various kinds of protests and demonstrations, elections were held in Mynamar in 1990. the party led by Aung San Suu Kyi was elected but the militarry refused to step down and out Aung San Suu Kyi under house arrest. Since then the people of Mynmar are fighting to restore democratic rule in the country.
