Expert Answer:
Grana.
The grana consists of pigments like chlorophyll-a, chl-b, carotene and xanthophyll. Chlorophyll-a is the main pigment absorbing light. On receiving energy from all the pigments, chl-a gets excited and releases high energy electron utilized in the formation of ATP.
