When is the air said to be damp or dry? What happens to the humidity in such conditions?

Expert Answer
When the amount of water vapours present in the air is small, the air appears to be 'dry' and the humidity is said to be 'low'.
On the other hand, when the amount of water vapours in the air is large, the air appears to be 'damp' and humidity is said to be 'high'.
