When a potential difference of 2 volt is applied across the ends of a wire of 5 metre length, a current of 1 ampere is found to flow through it. Calculate resistance per unit length of the wire, resistance of 2 metre length of wire, resistance across the ends of the wire if it is doubled on itself.

Expert Answer:
V=IR
2=1xR
R=2 ohm
res/length of the given cross section=2/5 ohm/m
Res of 2 m length=2/5 x 2=0.8 ohm
