What's The use of The Formula?

The use of the most celebrated equation, E = mc2, is to calculate the energy released when some amount of mass, i.e. m is converted into energy, as in the nuclear reactions - fusion and fission.
Also in particle physics most of the particle masses are expressed using this equation.
We can rearrange it as m = E/c2. Energy is measured in MeV i.e. Mega electron Volt or GeV i.e. Giga electron Volt or even higher amounts. so mass can be specified in MeV/c2.
These are two important uses of the equation besides others.
