Regeneration means the regain of the lost organ from minute part of it that must have anucleus to allow regeneration, eg hydra
Fragmentation means division of one cell into two or more cells .eg. some bacterial strains undergo fragmentation which result in the formation of two daughter cells from a single parent cell.
