Whatis the momentum acquired by the electrons in a wire of length 'l'metre when a current of 'i'ampere starts flowing in wire? The mass and charge of electron are 'm' and 'e' respectively.

Electrons in a conductor attain constant velocity called drift velocity, Vd . momentum of each electron = me Vd .   Here Vd = l/t = li/q. There fore momnetum of each electron = m Vd
