What will happen to human being if epidrmis or skin is absent?

The epidermis of skin protects the body and helps to retard the loss of water from the body. In case the epidermis is absent, the body will become susceptible to the attack of pathogens, dust and germs. It would also lead to loss of excessive water from the body cells.
