Expert Answer:

The villagers remained there throughout the night and made many arrangements for hunting the tiger. Children were posted night and day on the outskirts of the jungle to keep a watch on the tiger. Goats were left in the forest to satisfy the animal. Women passing through the jungle made sure that they were quiet lest they disturb the tiger. A so that the tiger would not be disturbed. Last but not the least, the villagers offered support and assistance at night of hunt. A platform had been constructed in a comfortable and convenient place on a tree for Mrs. Packletide and her paid companion. The villagers were on their toes night and day and on the day of the hunting game.
