What may happen if all herbivore s are killed in a terrestrial ecosystem

  • Herbivores are animals which depend on plants for their food.
  • Mostly carnivores are also directly dependent on herbivores for their food.
  • If all the herbivores are killed in a terrestrial ecosystem then carnivores will not obtain food as they only depend on herbivores for their food requirements.
  • This implies that all other life forms within our ecosysytem will not be able to survive.
  • This will disturb the balance in the ecosystem.
