Population or the group of people that are living in a geo-political area, are an important resource for development because population provides human capita.
Development depends upon the availability of skilled people who can work in agriculture, industry and services sector.
It is also believed to be a development resource because of the boost that is provided by the population in the technological and economical development.
Development will be possible by the humans for the current generation and due to a productive age group population.
Without a healthy population, we cannot built a large economically developed world.
Example: The reason why the economic forums predict India's economic growth in future is because of the large polulation boost in the productive age group segment.
