What makes election in India Democratic? Explain?

Elections in India are considered democratic because of the following reasons:

Every citizen has been given a right to vote irrespective of his/her caste, creed, religion or gender.
In India, the citizens and parties can contest elections freely and fairly.
Free and fair elections are held at regular intervals.
An impartial body, the Election Commission of India supervises the election procedures. It can order re-election in the constituencies if elections are found to be rigged.
