Expert Answer
Physical quantities that have magntiude and direction are called vector quantitites.
Example :- displacement , velocity , Force , Torque are vectors.
when we describe displacement of objects , magnitude alone is not sufficient, we need to mention in which direction it is displaced.
Similarly for velocity and force we need to mention the direction .
Torque is used in rotational motion and direction of torque is perpendicular to the direction of rotation
