what is torque
Asked by akash chaturvedi | 12th Mar, 2011, 12:00: AM
torque refers to something that produces or tends to produce torsion or rotation. The torque of force about an axis is given as the product of radius vector from the axis to the point where the force is applied and the force itself. It is expressed in N-m. It is also known as moment of force.
Hope this helps.
