Force can be applied on a surface from any direction. If the force is applied on a surface in a direction normal to the surface , it is called the thrust.
Thrust is the force acting normally on a surface.
Thrust exerted by a body placed on a surface is equal to its weight . It is measured in the units of force. S.I unit of thrust is Newton.
