What is the speed required for a stone ,which is projected from earth , So that it rotates around the Earth ?

The speed with which a stone or any object orbits around earth is known as critical velocity.
It is given as
Where, G is the universal gravitation constant, M is the mass of Earth and r is the distance of object from the centre of earth.
Thus, a stone projected from earth will acquire a speed which depends on its distance from centre.
If r is known, v can be found by substituting the values of G, M and r.
