Expert Answer
Schrondinger's equation incorporates dual nature of matter. Solution of this equation gives E and ψ Out of all the possible values, only those values of E are permitted where energy is quantised. This gives the energy of the various possible energy levels. ψ is the wave function of the electron. It is a function which describes an electron. It has no physical meaning But its square as Ψ2 gives the region where the probabilty of finding an eelctron is maximum. Wave function because the electron behaves as a wave.
