DOuble covalent bonds share two pair of electrons between the bonding atoms. Out of this one bond is sigma bond and the second bond is pi bon. Pi bond is weak and less stable than sigma bond. Hence, breaks easily.
So, double bpond is more reactive as the pi bond wil always try to break and form more stable sigma bonds.
So, unsaturated hydrocarbons always undergo addition reaction.
