It is a tabular arrangement of the elements according to their atomic numbers so that elements with similar properties are in the same column. Here, all the known elements are arranged across rows in order of increasing atomic number. The periodic table usually shows the atomic number, atomic symbol, and, atomic mass of the element. It starts with hydrogen in the upper left hand corner.
