What is the formulae used for solving linear equation through cross multiplication mtd ?

Expert Answer
Let a1x + b1y +c1 = 0 and a2x + b2y +c2 = 0 be a system of simultaneous linear equations in two variables x and y.
We find the value of x and y by cross multiplication method by using the following formula:
We can obtain the value of x by equating first and third expressions. And the value of y is obtained by equating second and third expressions.
