what is the formula of making the data continuous ? please tell me as sonn as in 1 hour i hv my exam tommorow

Dear student,
 
If the given data is discontinuous with class intervals having a difference of 1 in between them. Then we have to add 1/2 = 0.5 to each upper class limit and also have to subtract 0.5 from the lower class limits so as to make our class intervals continuous.
