What is the differnece b/w SYNAPSE and SYNAPTICAL CLEFT? Please explain.

Synapse is an area of functional contact between one neuron and another for the purpose of transferring information.
Synaptic cleft is a gap which separates the pre-synaptic and post synaptic membranes.
Synapse is the area or gap between two neurons.
