what is the difference between the following questions:

In the first question the volume of solution is given as 2L. So , in the molarity equation, voluem fo solution can be directly substituted.

But in the second question the volume of solution is not given. The volume of water here refers to the volume of solvent. So, if the volume of solution has to be known, the volume of solute has to be calculated first.
