What is the difference between oceans and sea?

Oceans are vast and huge body of water which covers nearly 70% of earth’s surface. All oceans are separate water bodies but are connected to one another.

Sea is a large body of saline water. However, seas are smaller than oceans. Seas are generally located near the land and link land with an ocean.
