What is the difference between Crest and Compression?

your question is not clear.
when sound propagates in a medium, it propagates through copmpression and rarefaction.
compression means the increase in pressure and density in a particular area.so pressure is maximum. so it is represented by the crest.if the crest is higher that means compression is more.
