The orbital plane of a satellite is the plane in which it orbits around the Earth.
Its angle of inclination is measured with respect to the equatorial plane of Earth.
1. A polar satellite is one which orbits the North-South plane of the Earth. So, the angle between the equatorial plane and orbital plane is 90°.
2. A geostationary satellite is one which orbits the equator of the Earth at a certain altitude. So, the angle between the equatorial plane and orbital plane is 0°.
