What is the actual role of central tapping in full wave rectifier? How does it actually work? In NCERT, grounding has been done. I am getting different explanations in different books. Kindly explain.???!!!

Expert Answer:
One can observer that due to center taping the diode D1 will be in forward biased in the first half of the AC and the D2 will be reversed biased. For the second half of the Ac signal the D2 will be forward biased and D1 will be reverse biased.
