The third equation of motion states that to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
 
this can be very easity understood from the example that: in a roller skating rink, if u push ur friend while yourself being on roller skates, you yourself is pushed in the opposite direction.
this is according to tird law of motion, when u apply force on ur friend, it also applies force on u in the opposite direction of equal magnitude.
