what is resonance?

Expert Answer:

Dear student
The large amplitude vibration of a system when it is driven at a frequency close to its natural frequency (or an integer multiple of it) is resosnance.
e.g. The tuning circuit of radio set will pass high amplitude signals only if their frequency is near its natural frequency.
Hope this clarifies your doubt.
