Osmoregulation si the process of control of water and electrolyte balance in the body.
ADH, also called vasopressin, is released by the pituitary gland. ADH has an antidiuretic action that prevents the production of dilute urine. It absorbs excess water from urine, thus helps in conserving water in the body.
