what is nlx method

- nlx method : for writing electronic configuration of an atom nlx is used. where 'n' has the values 1, 2, 3, ...etc.(i.e. principal quantum number) and 'l' is defined as corrosponding letter s, p, d, f etc. (i.e., azimuthal quantum number) and 'x' represents the no. of electrons present in orbitals as defined by 'n' and 'l' values.
- For example Helium has atomic no. 2, hence by nlx method it is represented as 1s2.
