What is Myopia and how is it caused?

Myopia also called as short - sightedness or near - sightedness is a defect in which the person suffering from it can see the nearby objects but cannot see the distant objects.
It is caused due to the following reasons
(i) if eye ball is too long
(ii) excessive curvature of eye lens
