what is meant by normality?

Normality is a way to express concentration. Normality is expressed in equivalents per liter.
Or in easy words we can define Normality as follows:
The normality of a solution is the gram equivalent weight of a solute per liter of solution.
Equivalent weight = molar mass/(H+ per mole)
Equivalent = mass of compound / Equivalent weight
And Normality = (equivalents of X)/Liter
