Battery which uses lead and lead oxide to convert chemical energy into electrical energy is known as lead acid battery.
Lead acid batteries are used in emergency lighting , in power stations and also in automobiles. It is used as combining 6-12 torage cell in series. It is charged once and has capacity to store charge. Elecrolyte that is used is sulfuric acid.
